USA Shooting is the national governing body responsible for the training, selection, and support of America’s Olympic and Paralympic shooting sport athletes. Our mission is to empower U.S. athletes to achieve sustained competitive excellence and inspire the nation through the sport of shooting. As we expand our programs, strengthen athlete pipelines, and prepare for upcoming international competitions, we are seeking a passionate and strategic fundraising professional to join our team.
Position Overview
USA Shooting is searching for a driven and relationship-focused Fundraising Professional to support and expand the organization’s development initiatives. This individual will play a key role in cultivating donors, growing major gifts, enhancing annual campaigns, and building long-term philanthropic partnerships that directly support the nation’s elite Olympic and Paralympic shooting athletes.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute fundraising strategies to grow individual, major gift, and corporate donor pipelines.
- Cultivate, solicit, and steward donors through personalized outreach, relationship-building, events, and structured development plans.
- Manage annual giving campaigns, special projects, and targeted fundraising initiatives.
- Work with leadership to build strategic partnerships that advance USA Shooting’s mission and programs.
- Coordinate donor communications, including impact reports, recognition materials, and messaging.
- Support fundraising events—including planning, execution, and donor engagement.
- Maintain accurate donor records and reporting using CRM tools.
- Represent USA Shooting with professionalism, enthusiasm, and mission alignment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fundraising, development, nonprofit advancement, or a related field.
- Successful track record in donor cultivation and solicitation (major gifts, annual giving, corporate sponsorships, or similar).
- Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Passion for supporting Olympic and Paralympic sport; familiarity with shooting sports is a plus but not required.
- Willingness to travel for donor meetings and events as needed.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with CRM systems or donor databases.
- Background in sports organizations, national governing bodies, nonprofits, or high-performance athletic programs.
- Grant writing or sponsorship development experience.
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual Base Salary of $96,000 - $144,000
- In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for performance-based compensation tied to clearly defined fundraising milestones, including revenue targets, major gift cultivation, and campaign execution metrics. Total compensation potential may exceed base range based on performance.
